Building an Electech Cluster
Electech is a critical sector for the UK’s ambitions in its recovery from covid and future competitive position in a global economy.
Whether it’s the creation of sensors, communications or IOT, electech businesses are critical in powering future organisations and communities.
Lancaster is rapidly becoming a centre of excellence with a burgeoning electech cluster that are making national headlines. Last year, the cluster formed Tech Lancaster, a programme to develop skills and opportunities in the sector. The group has further ambitions to attract more businesses to the cluster and identify opportunities for the city and its workforce.
Join us to find out what the roadmap looks like for this exciting cluster.
After the talk, we’ll be holding a virtual electech networking session for anyone who wants to meet the clusters key players.
Mark Thwaite hosts a conversation with Chris Mayne, MD of Forsberg, Kate Houlden, MD of Like Technologies and Phil Leigh, Innovation and Growth Specialist at RTC North to investigate how Lancaster has become a hotbed of Electech activity in the North.
